Background
The United Nations Security Council, also known by its abbreviation UNSC, is one of the 6 main organs of the United Nations, which includes, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESCO), the Trusteeship Council, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and the UN Secretariat. The council consists of 15 members, which includes 5 permanent members, and 10 non-permanent members (UN, n.d.).

Topic 1: Addressing the crisis in Myanmar, with a focus on the military coup and the civil war
The people of Myanmar are a fatigued one, as military coups and coup d'états have plagued their homeland for decades. However, the situation has once more tumbled into instability and is steadily worsening, as acknowledged by the UNHRC. It is thus now imperative that the UNSC intervene and address the crisis in Myanmar, with a focus on the military coup and the civil war.
Topic 2: The issue of governmental abuse of foreign conflict for national and international political gain.
Within the last 50 years, the world has witnessed more than 110 armed conflicts (with more than 45 of them in the Middle East and more than 35 of them in Africa) and most of them are ongoing but unheard of in the public media. These conflicts are more often than not, proxy wars and represent larger conflicts between countries such as the United States and Russia. Seeing as how the very existence of such a conflict causes so many human rights abuses, it falls upon the UNSC to solve the issue of governmental abuse of foreign conflict for national and international political gain.
